Parish Proud Awarded Healthy Communities Grant for Parish Street Signs

Street signs are going to be visible in Lafayette Parish thanks to the grant

Lafayette, LA – Today, Parish Proud was awarded a $4,000 grant from Keep Louisiana Beautiful – the
state’s anti-litter and community improvement organization – to assist in their ongoing efforts to inform
the community that litter is not the proper way to dispose of their trash.

This year’s grant, in the amount of $4,000, will allow Parish Proud to install 100 new street signs throughout the parish. The grants funds allow the organization to accomplish its goal of building
rapport with the community as they work together to eliminate litter and encourage beautification.

“We are super excited to continue our partnership with Keep Louisiana Beautiful. Our missions align so perfectly, and we are proud to be in cohorts with them. This grant allows us to continue along the road
of beautification and litter mitigation one step at a time,” stated Parish Proud Director Brianne
Hendricks.

Cities throughout the parish will soon be able to see the signs with Parish Proud’s logo displayed at the bottom and are invited to participate in their many community events. Information regarding
opportunities can be found on their website: parishproud.org.
